About the Position: This position is located with the U.S. Army Research and Development Center (ERDC), US ARMY ENGR RESEARCH & DEVELOPMT CTR OPERATIONAL SCIENCE & ENG DIVISION TRAINING LANDS AND HERITAGE BRANCH.

Duties

Develop manuals, technical reports, white papers, and/or technical transfer documents and materials associated with the management and prevention of impacts to natural and cultural resources on Army lands. Conduct final reviews of proposed publications for style, design, layout, and/or editorial aspects before release. Research military and Federal specifications, industry standards, and consult with technical experts to develop authoritative documents of a scientific or technical nature for use in Research and Development contracting by Federal agencies Use desktop publishing hardware to draft, edit, and lay out material. Provide programmatic tracking and projection of project status. Produce guidance and policy statements that apply natural, cultural, and/or training land and range research for Department of Defense lands and holdings. Apply writing skills, research of technical methods, accepted formatting methods, and/or collaboration with technical research teams to produce peer-reviewed journal publications and other technical publications. Apply writing skills and an understanding of the natural and/or cultural environment to the development of specifications

OR Education: Four year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree that included a total of 15 semester hours in Science or English, and at least one course above the introductory level in Science or English. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 36. Then divide your total number of completed undergraduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 120. Add the two percentages.
