About the Position: Serves as a Human Resources Assistant (Military) for the USAG Presidio of Monterey Directorate of Human Resources Personnel Division (MPD).

Duties

Enter Electronic Military Personnel Office (EMILPO) transactions for separating individuals as part of their separation process. Provide assistance to military personnel to ensure that appropriate policies and regulations are in compliance with regulatory guidelines. Counsel individuals on general entitlements, options, and out-processing requirements. Perform a variety of tasks to include, record screening, eligibility, and counseling to ensure Soldier is qualified and meet regulatory requirements for Permanent Change of Station (PCS).

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain/maintain a driver's license (necessary for operation of a government vehicle).
  • Required to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
  • A one-year probationary period is required.

OR Education: A half year (i.e., 9 semester hours) of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Business, secretarial, or technical school, junior college, college or university. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 9. Add the two percentages.
