About the Position: Serve as the central point of contact for the Programs and Projects Management Division (PPMD) in the Honolulu District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE).
Management may may make a selection from any grade level.
Duties
Maintain the calendar/ and schedules appointments for multiple staff personnel
Screen and handle all correspondence which can be accomplished personally
Maintain files and provides guidance on files and records management
Prepare recurring reports
Arrange for acquisition, turn-in and inventory of office furniture and equipment
Serve as timekeeper
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- TDY up to 5%.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE for the GS-07: To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as: 1) Maintaining and/or filing office documents 2) Scheduling appointments utilizing automated computer systems 3) Responding to office phone calls and/or visitors.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service GS-06.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE for the GS-08: To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as: 1) Reviewing administrative regulations and policies 2) Editing official correspondence utilizing automated computer systems 3) Updating office calendar to schedule appointments. 4) Screening office phone call and/or visitors. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service GS-07.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE for the GS-09: To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as: 1) Utilizing automated office software systems to produce office correspondence i.e., reports, charts, spreadsheets; coordinating meetings, briefings 2) Coordinating and reconcile business travel for staff using an automated travel system (i.e., flights, hotel) 3) Maintaining office calendar for multiple staff members, ensuring scheduling conflicts do not occur. 4) implementing clerical and administrative policies and procedures to assist in maintaining the office in a smooth and efficient manner. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service GS-08.
