Qualifications
You must meet the Basic Requirements listed in the "Education Requirements" section and the "Specialized Experience" to qualify for Fiscal Operations Specialist, as described below.
For the GS-09 : Applicants must have 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, GS-07 in the Federal Service.
Specialized Experience is the experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA's) to perform the duties of the position successfully, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level.
Qualifying specialized experience for the GS-09 is defined as:
Coordinating, identifying, and resolving a variety of fiscal-related activities and problems associated with bill and wage compensation payments in support of automated compensation and bill payment systems
Conducting audits;
Effectively responding to specific inquiries from stakeholders about fiscal matters.
Or
Have earned a Master's or equivalent graduate degree, or completed 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree, or LL.B. or J.D., if related,
Or
A combination of graduate education and experience.
