Duties

Serves as a working leader of three or more employees in accomplishing bartender work. Follows established procedures in operating a full-service bar, mixing and serving the full range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Assist customers by discussing beverages available, their content and mixing special drinks according to customer direction. Records sales, makes change or prepares charge slips in accordance with operating procedures. Keeps records of quantities of beverages dispensed and submits requirement for re-stocking to supervisor. Performs other duties as assigned.

• A one year probationary period may be required.
• Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
• Satisfactory completion of a minimum of 4 hours initial food sanitation and safety training is required within 30 days of employment and a minimum of 4 hours refresher training annually.
• Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a medical examination.
• Incumbent may be required to complete a Tier 1 background investigation for a Common Access Card for physical access to federally-controlled facilities

Qualifications

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Candidates must: 1. Meet state/local age requirements for the serving of alcoholic, at the time of appointment. 2. Be able to lift and carry weights up to 40 pounds .3. Possess math skills necessary to calculate bills and take inventory. 4. Skill in mixing and serving alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages is required. 5. Must have the ability to monitor and direct the work of other bar staff. 6. Work experience as a full service bartender. Highly Preferred Criteria: Must have1 year of experience working with draft beer system, to include, taping kegs, clean lines, trouble shoot system, and pour draft beer. Must have 1 year of experience coordinating beverage functions following established procedures throughout multiple bar locations and developing and enforcing operating procedures. Must 1 year of experience placing orders with vendors according to business volume and being responsible of deliveries, stocks, and inventory levels. Must have experience selecting employees, directing job trainings, and assigning duties consistent with operational requirements. Must have experience conducting surveys, reviewing activity reports, and making recommendations to improve services and improvements and making or creating recipes and drink menus.
