About the Position: Headquarters, US Army Forces Command Fort Liberty, North Carolina. Fort Liberty is a culturally diverse area with rural and city populations, co-located at Fayetteville, NC centrally located in the beautiful state of North Carolina, which enjoys a temperate year-round climate and world-renowned colleges and universities. Duties

Works as part of the G-6 FORSCOM Information Technology IT Governance Division to support both the Strategic Plans and Resource Requirements Branches. Identifies and translates IT operational concepts, policies, and procedures proposed by higher commands into realistic guidance and workable operational procedures for the command. Monitors IT activities to measure progress in achieving objectives. Interprets higher headquarters policies and guidance pertinent to IT.

• TDY travel may be required up to 15% of the time.

Basic Requirement for IT Specialist (PLCYPLN): Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes Experience in staff operations with the ability to manage several projects that have unique and difficult solutions that require unconventional approaches; Analyze interrelated issues in long-range planning in order to make recommendations that will significantly affect the policies and programs of the organization; resolving critical problems which require innovative solutions. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). The specialized experience must include, or be supplemented by, information technology related experience (paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training, as appropriate) which demonstrates each of the four competencies, as defined: (1) Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail.
