About the Position: This position is with U.S. Army Material Command located in Redstone Arsenal, Alabama.
Duties
Develops and maintains logistics support plans for support of JCS, DA and MACOM OCONUS contingency and war plans.
Directs and controls the execution of plans during mobilization, contingency and emergency operations and exercises.
Serves as an advisor and consultant to AMC managerial personnel at all levels regarding logistics support of military forces deployed/employed.
Establishes, upgrades, and maintains planning and operations systems.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- One year trial/probationary period may be required.
- TDY may be up to 10%.
- A Secret clearance will be required.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes experience in logistics support planning, operations and exercises such as military planning or policies and concepts. Developing contingency and wartime logistics support plans for military operations . Experience directing controls execution of plans during mobilization, contingency and emergency operations and exercises. Experience with the use of systems such as Joint Operations Planning and Execution System; Worldwide Military Command and Control System; Army Logistics Operation System; AMC automated contingency planning systems. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
