About the Position: The Program Manager, performs under the general direction of the Director of the Logistics Data Analysis Center, HQ Army Materiel Command, G-3.

Duties

Plan, directs, coordinates and controls all organizational elements and the allocation and utilization of all resources involved in managing and accomplishing mission objectives. Awareness of policies and procedures to effectively identify problem areas, recommend improvements to resolve problems, and oversee tools designed to improve program management efforts. Directs the preparation of project plans,recommends, and necessary actions to meet project support requirements, and oversees staff actions and tasking's to meet external deadlines. Coordinates with other elements of AMC, Army Staff, Army Commands(ACOM), Army Service Component Commands (ASCC), and other departments. Provides leadership, professional guidance, decisions and establishes performance standards and evaluates subordinates performance.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • A two year probation may be required.
  • A Secret clearance will be required.
  • TDY travel is occasionally required.
  • Incumbent is required to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450.
  • As a precondition and continuing condition of employment, the employee must IAW Chapter 3, Section VI, paragraph 3-20b of AR 600-85, and Appendix C, AR 600-85, agree to submit to urinalysis testing on a recurring basis.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: xperience Advising higher level officials on complex program management issues; perform direct supervisory duties such as: plan subordinate work based on priorities, evaluate work performance of subordinates; Plan and develop guidance for Logistics Data Analysis Center programs. Recommend program management policy improvements to obtain maximum effectiveness of program requirements. Provide technical expertise in the development of short, mid, and long-range plans and objectives for the logistics domain. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-14). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: LeadershipOrganizational AwarenessOrganizational Performance AnalysisPartnering Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-14).
