This is a National Guard Title 5 Excepted position for a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST, Position Description Number T5902800, and is part of the 169 LRS, South Carolina Air National Guard.

Duties

***This is a Title 5 National Guard Employee position description. **This position is in the Excepted Service "under the authority of Title V, P.L. 114-328, Sections 932 and 1084 (FY17 NDAA)" This position is located in an Air National Guard (ANG) Mission Support Group, Logistics Readiness Squadron, Deployment and Distribution Flight, Plans and Integration Section. Purpose: Its primary purpose is to serve as a Logistics Management Specialist with responsibility for developing, planning, organizing, and analyzing wing logistics plans that include multiple units and may include geographically separated units. Is the technical expert on all Logistics Information Systems in support of deployment operations. The primary purpose of this position is to implement policy programs and procedures utilizing automated/non automated systems for the accurate control of Wing Logistics planning in support of Aerospace Expeditionary Force/Wing (AEF/AEW) Operations around the world.

Area of Consideration: This position is open to AOC 1. Area 1: Current employees (Tenure 1 and 2 / internal to the Agency) Area 2: All other applicants (external to the Agency). ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Veterans' Preference Program criteria are ALWAYS applied to identify the well-qualified applicants. MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Experience, education or training involving judgment and/or analytical ability in the logistics field. Experience using computer and automation systems. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Must have at least 36 months experience, education, or training identifying activities involving logistical support operations. Experience integrating the actions of a variety of specialized support activities in order to develop a comprehensive logistics plan. Experience monitoring such functions as program planning, resource and fiscal management, training, manpower management, and/or automated data processing to meet the logistics plan. Experience identifying delays or problems and developing corrective actions. Experience working with people from various levels and backgrounds to elicit their cooperation to perform specific tasks, and complying with regulations, laws, or practices. The applicant must possess or obtain a valid security clearance (Secret or Top Secret) within three months of appointment according to Army or Air Force Personnel Security Program Management Directives. To maintain the position - The incumbent must have a current Network License according to Army or Air Force Directives, Licensing Network Users and Certifying Network Professionals CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT & NOTES: 1.
