Duties

Major Duties of the Position: This position serves as the Director of Faculty Operations and performs faculty duties within the Dean of Faculty (DF), United States Air Force Academy (USAFA). Member will direct the Faculty Operations office (DFOO) for the Dean of Faculty (DF) organization at the United States Air Force Academy (USAFA). Supervises DF's personnel and manpower program analysts and faculty operations staff. Responsible for overseeing Faculty Operations (DFOO) daily operations. Oversees the creation, implementation, assessment, modification and execution of faculty policy, staffing strategies, and developmental programs throughout DF. Participates in undergraduate education in DF as required. Will serve as liaison from DF to USAFA/A1 and 10 FSS/FSCA and collaborates with other stakeholders across USAFA. Oversees the Dean of Faculty hiring and employment of all federal civil service faculty members, visiting professors from institutions and organizations of higher education, employees from other governmental agencies, and privately funded individuals.

• The salary shown is the minimum (Annual) amount to be paid and may be set higher commensurate with individual's qualifications and experience.
• You will be required to serve a 1-year trial period

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Master's degree in a relevant discipline is required. Requires experience in a relevant discipline. At least 5 years of applicable professional experience. ACADEMIC DISCIPLINES: N/A DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 3 years of full-time college-level teaching or administration preferred. Terminal degree desired but not required. FOREIGN EDUCATION:
Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the educational requirements. However, you must show proof that the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in a conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying in the form of an "official" statement of U.S. equivalency from a Department of Education approved (non-federal) agency (i.e. AICE, NACES), who will complete a U.S. Standard of Education Conversion.
