About the Position: This position is for a Realty Specialist position with the Pueblo Chemical Depot in Pueblo.
Duties
Provide technical advice on all aspects of realty projects to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, laws, and policies.
Prepare real estate documents to provide for third party uses including leases, licenses, and easements.
Maintain records of assets within an accounting database such as General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS).
Prepare technical documents to support activities across the installation.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Incumbent must complete Real Property Basic Course within 12 months of hire.
- Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a valid state issued driver's license. Additionally, must be able to obtain and maintain a Department of Army driver's license within 6 months of entry on duty.
- This position requires participation in Chemical/Incident Response and Assistant (CAIRA) situations, along with serving on teams dedicated to controlling CAIRA situation after being trained for the specific duty involved.
- This position may require occasional TDY; 10% business travel.
- This position requires a security background investigation.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of demonstrated specialized experience which includes acquiring and disposing of real property including land and/or structures for an organization by participating in routine real estate transactions; conducting inspections of real property including land and/or structures to create reports for management; AND maintaining records of assets within an accounting database, such as General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS) to account for property accurately. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).
OR
Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field to do the work of the position, such as: Master of Science in Real Estate, MBA/MPA (Masters in Professional Studies) in Real Estate. OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)
