About the Position: This position is located at Fort Sam Houston, Texas.
Duties
Receive incoming shipments of items.
Sign shipping and receiving reports.
Select and set up proper storage areas for material within the general warehousing.
Maintain running record of inventory balance.
Drive trucks with up to 5 ton capacity.
Perform driver's maintenance in accordance with established rules and regulations.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must have the ability to use manual hand-lift truck.
- Must be able to obtain and retain both a valid Texas Commercial Vehicle Operator's Permit and government driver’s license.
- A physical examination is required, due to the physical demands.

Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): The ability to perform common duties as a Materials Handler (MVO/FLO) including tasks such as, receiving general guidance on where and how to identify items to be received, stored, and maintained; operating forklifts up to a 5 ton capacity; and following general warehousing procedures in order to perform assigned duties. The applicant must work under normal supervision of a work leader or journey-level employee who observes tasks in progress and upon completion to make sure they are properly performed - Failure to meet this Screen Out Element will result in an ineligible rating.
