About the Position: This position is a Claims Examiner (Office Automation) at Fort Novosel, Dale County, Alabama.

Duties

Investigate circumstances of tort claims and the cost of medical care provided. Compile medical documentation related to the liability request required for asserting claims. Conduct extensive research on all claims prior to transfer to the Office of the Hospital Counsel. Respond to request for medical information from attorneys, insurance companies, and patients.

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires screening for applicable immunizations based on occupational risk and is subject to missing/required immunizations. A seasonal influenza vaccine is required.
