The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a Branch Chief for the Integrated Prevention and Resilience Division and a first level supervisor at Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC).
Duties
Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities at least 25% of the time.
Coordinate implementation and manage execution and evaluation of MAJCOM programs pertaining integrated prevention program for Headquarters Air Force Materiel Command.
As the Branch Chief, plans, organizes, and oversees the activities of the Branch.
Serves as an advisor to AFMC leaders on resilience and prevention programming and activities to best meet the needs of AFMC Airmen and their families.
Works with the Division Chief in planning, organizing, and overseeing the activities of the Division.

- This is a supervisory position and may require supervisory probation.
Qualifications
Experience requirements are described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least 1 year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at the next lower broadband NH-03, equivalent to the next lower grade GS-13 or equivalent in other pay systems. Specialized experience is experience in knowledge of pertinent laws, regulations, policies as well as behavioral, social science and/or public health practices principles and theories relating to prevention and resilience. Knowledge in planning, scheduling, and conducting projects and studies including gathering, assembling, and analyzing facts; drawing conclusions; devising recommended solutions; and packaging the entire process in briefings, papers or reports suitable for top management use and decision making. Basic knowledge of behavioral, social, and economic factors impacting military and civilian workforce and their families in order to provide guidance and feedback for program implementation, execution and evaluation. Ability to effectively engage and partner with working groups and teams to collaborate across the MAJCOM for the purpose of maximizing program effectiveness. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; negotiate issues; and maintain good working relationships. Ability to develop and present reports for senior leadership. Ability to interface with a wide range of personnel, including senior leadership, with tact, courtesy, diplomacy and professionalism. Ability to effectively teach, lead and assist with committees, working groups and teams. NOTE: Due to the use of 120-day rosters, this period of experience may be completed within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:

PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
