This position will be assigned to the JBSA Fort Sam Houston IT Office located in San Antonio.
This is a regular part-time category position with guaranteed 20 hours per week. May work up to 40 hrs./wk. Employees appointed to a regular category position are eligible for benefits.
Duties
Under general supervision of the Chief, 502 FSS IT Department, performs routine and recurring assignments in the delivery of Information Technology customer support services. Participates in the planning and delivery of a full range of Information Technology customer support services to the organization. Identifies and resolves issues and problems. Prepares and updates manuals, instructions, and operating procedures. Provides information and assistance to customers including system hardware/software installations, configuration, upgrades and troubleshooting. Evaluates established methods and procedures and prepares recommendations for changes in methods and practices where appropriate. Presents formal and informal training to customers. Reports, responds to and resolves customer requests. Applies information security and information assurance policy, principles and practices. Assists in conducting the annual inventory of IT equipment and software.
Responsible for integrating automated applications into all aspects of MWR operations. Works closely with program managers to assist in developing and implementing procedures and actions to support automated programs. Serves as liaison for MRW MIS applications between program managers, Flight Chiefs, and Director FSS.

Requirements
- The position requires the incumbent to satisfactorily complete a T1 investigation and maintain a Secret clearance.
- This position has been identified as a Test Designated Position (TDP). The incumbent of this position will be subject to and must consent to a pre-employment and random drug testing. Must have a valid driver's license.

Qualifying Experience:
Must have 1 year specialized experience of the basic principles, theories, practices, techniques, and terminology of the IT discipline or subject matter field. Must meet required Security+ certification as outlined in DoD 8570.01-M, Information Assurance workforce Improvement Program at time of employment.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA's):
Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Customer service skills.
4. Knowledge of basic principles, theories, practices, techniques and terminology of the IT discipline or subject matter field.
5. Knowledge of IT network system design principles, methodologies, and approaches used in developing, testing, installing, operating, managing and maintaining network services.
