This position will support the Federal Government's response efforts to COVID-19. This position is located in the Housekeeping Department of the Standing Rock Service Unit. The incumbent maybe required to work rotating shifts, nights, weekends, and holiday duties.

Duties

Plans and coordinates daily work tasks with hospital or clinic staff and work leader or supervisor to ensure all patient care areas are cleaned and ready for use in a timely manner so that patientcare and schedules are not compromised. Cleans various areas such as in-patient rooms and bathrooms, public restrooms, operating rooms, labor/delivery, exam rooms, halls, walls, floors, furnishings, equipment, windows, offices, outside entrances, etc., wiping surfaces using proper cleaning techniques, universal precautions, and chemicals Inspects, sorts, folds, counts, stores, and distributes clean linen following standard protocol. Interacts with laundry contract staff on quality control issues. Vacuums, sweeps and mops floors and maintains floors such as tile (stripping & waxing), hardwood floors, carpet (spotting and extracting), and linoleum. Uses heavy equipment such as high-speed polishers and carpet extractors.
