Duties
The primary purpose of the position is to function as a General Attorney (Contract). The incumbent independently performs a broad spectrum of legal services for the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), Component Acquisition Executive (CAE), and Procurement Service Executive, including Procurement Service Directorate (PSD) and Defense Information Technology Contracting Organization (DITCO) seniors and personnel.
Acts as principal attorney in charge of the preparation and presentation of cases before administrative tribunals (e.g., Government Accountability Office, Boards of Contracts Appeals, and federal courts. Primary responsibilities include (1) representing the Agency and the DoD in litigation before adversarial tribunals in acquisition and procurement matters; (2) providing advice and guidance to contracting and administrative personnel to ensure all statutory requirements, regulations and other legal prerequisites have been met; (3) recommending preventative law policy and procedure to ensure that statutes and regulations government procurement and personnel actions are met; and (4) providing advice and counsel for developmental agency programs.

Qualifications
Basic Requirement:All applicants must possess a law degree (L.L.B. or J.D.) from a law school accredited by the American Bar Association and active membership in the bar of the highest court of a State, U.S. commonwealth, U.S. territory, or the District of Columbia.
AND
Duties Performed at the GS-12 level:
a. Two years of professional legal experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 level.
b. The second professional law degree (LL.M.) plus 1 year of professional legal experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 level.
Duties Performed at the GS-13 level:
The attorney shall have professional legal experience in excess of 2 years that is commensurate with the duties and responsibilities of the position.
Duties Performed at the GS-14 level:
The attorney shall have professional legal experience in excess of 3 years that is commensurate with the duties and responsibilities of the position.
Duties Performed at the GS-15 level:
The attorney shall have professional legal experience in excess of 4 years that is commensurate with the duties and responsibilities of the position.
Education
