About the Position: This Human Resources (Military/Office Automation) position is with the Personnel Division at William Beaumont Army Medical Center, El Paso, Texas. They assist military Human Resources Specialists by screening and performing a wide variety military human resources transactions for assigned functions for technical adequacy.

Duties

Uses office automation equipment to compose and type a variety of correspondence, reports and other material in final form. Utilizes word processing software and printing equipment to create, copy, edit a variety of documents. In and out processes all Service Members to ensure all necessary information is accurate and up-to-date. Process and submit personnel actions to include obtaining supporting documents/signature.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) researching human resources regulations, policies, and procedures; 2) maintaining various personnel database systems to extract, enter and retrieve data; and 3) preparing reports or correspondence for various personnel. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-04). OR Education: Four years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of education beyond two years (total semester hours minus 60) by 60. Add the two percentages. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-04).
