This position is with Refugee, Asylum and International Operations, Asylum Division, Los Angeles Asylum Office, located in Tustin, CA. As a Supervisory Management and Program Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting the operation and management of major programs of the Asylum Division field office.

Duties

Oversees a major segment of an Asylum Division field office and leads a team of analysts and other staff. Serves as an expert consultant on broad projects and programs with potentially national impact. Plans and conducts special studies, provides expert advice to managers, and develops and evaluates policies. Responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring sophisticated management information systems that focus on long and short range plans. Provides high-level technical assistance and direct support to upper management and supervisory staff in all matters relating to the application of planning systems and management programs.

The qualifications for this position must be met by 11:59 PM (Eastern Time) on 11/30/2023. Current Federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the lower grade or equivalent grade band in the Federal service. The Time-in-Grade requirement must be met by 11:59 PM (Eastern Time) on 11/30/2023. GS-13: You qualify at the GS-13 level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience, which is equivalent to at least the GS-12 level in the federal government, that equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. You must have experience performing the following duties: Provide high-level technical assistance and direct support to upper management and supervisory staff in all matters relating to the application of planning systems and management programs. Conduct technical and administrative briefings to senior management officials, including summary presentations with conclusions, alternatives, and recommendations on national policies, projects, or studies. Review policies and procedures to determine the impact on operations or conduct evaluative studies to include strengths, weaknesses, and best practices, and make recommendation(s).
