You will serve as a PROGRAM SUPPORT SPECIALIST in the Office of Graduate Medical Education (GME) and the National Capital Consortium (NCC) of the UNIF SRVS UNI OF THE HLTH SCI.
Duties
You will provide administrative and analytical support for academic training programs consisting of physicians in training and faculty members.
You will develop and maintain a tracking systems of residents training experiences and administrative requirements.
You will establish database files and maintain education files to include evaluations, performance records, and various other related correspondences.
You will maintain and update standard operating procedures in order to facilitate administrative and non-academic support for programs.
You will conduct ongoing quality review of information maintained to assure accuracy and compliance with educational requirements.
You will prepare draft reports by extracting appropriate information from records and a variety of databases and automated systems.
You will analyze and interpret financial data to determine whether obligations and expenditures are within funding limitations.
You will analyze and audit expenditures to verify procedure compliance.
Requirements

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This is a bargaining unit position.
Qualifications
FOR THE GS-11: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: analyzing administrative policies or procedures to improve the efficiency or effectiveness of a medical education training program.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
Successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
or
Successful completion of 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
or
Possession of an LL.M., if related to the position being filled.
