About the Position: This position is a DOD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Employees occupying CES positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the U.S. Army Center of Excellence, Signal School Fort Eisenhower, Georgia.

Duties

Collects course administrative data to produce course documentation to include class schedules, student materials, examination materials, guest speaker documents, letters, travel orders, settlement vouchers, instructional aides, etc. Responsible for fact-finding tasks and preparation of input to be used by the department chair or committee chiefs in building fact sheets, briefing charts, or memorandums. Coordinates student data for all phases of assigned courses. Provides assistance to course directors and students for all assigned courses.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Three year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • A qualified typist is required.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain Secret clearance.
  • May be required to work overtime.
  • TDY is required up to 5% of the time.

Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled. Specialized experience would be demonstrated by experience with the Digital Training Management System (DTMS) and the Army Training Requirements and Resources System (ATRRS) databases; demonstrated experience with the Automated Time Attendance and Production System (ATAAPS); experience managing course information distribution and preparing correspondence utilizing MS Office Suite and preparing and managing correspondence IAW with FM 25-50 and the Army Records Information Management System (ARIMS); and demonstrate the ability to coordinate academic support matters for assigned courses with students, faculty, staff, and visiting professionals.
