The purpose of this position is to conduct quality assurance inspections and contract surveillance duties of specified commissary stocking, order-writing, custodial, receiving, holding and/or other contracted services performed in a commissary.

Duties

Conduct quality assurance inspection and contractor surveillance. Provide comments and recommendation for additions, deletions, or changes to contractor services to ensure compliance with DeCA directives. Approve or reject contractor's work schedule and checks work for quality and timeliness. Maintain the store's space allocations program by such duties as designating to the contractor proper item shelf locations when shelf tags are missing or otherwise not identifiable. Advise commissary or contracted order writers. Act as the commissary manager's representative during the night time hours to ensure government property is secure. This position offers promotion potential to a higher grade. To prepare you for the higher grade, work assignments will be progressively more complex. After meeting all qualifications and requirements for the next grade level and with your supervisor's recommendation, you may be promoted without further competition. Qualifications

You must meet the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) qualifications for series 1101 and additional requirements by the announcement closing date. Your resume (and/or transcript if necessary) must clearly show that you have the qualifications described below. You can use experience, education, or a combination of the two to qualify. Experience: Your resume and supporting documents must show that you possess (A) 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-4 grade level or equivalent to at least GS-4 under other Federal service pay systems, private sector, or military, OR (B) 4 years of education above high school, OR (C) a combination of experience and education that equals 100% of the qualification requirements. To compute the percentage of experience and education you have that meets the qualification requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours by 60. Add the two percentages. Examples of specialized experience include: Conducting quality assurance inspections and contract surveillance duties of specified commissary or retail grocery contracted services.
