About the Position: The Anniston Army Depot is located in Anniston, Alabama in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountain chain half way between Atlanta, GA and Birmingham, AL just off interstate 20. The depot is the largest employer in Calhoun County with Approximately 4000 employees.
Duties
Performs duties such as prepare and submit solicited and unsolicited bids for workload.
Reviews production data, flow charts, procedures, and statistical cost data for approval or amendment.
Provides cost estimates to customers.
Analyzes production problems such as short falls in common delivery, maintenance operations, and shut down and other delays.
Performs duties such as monitor and report on the status and progress of work.
Ensures workload is distributed equitably among team members.
Furnishes briefing data on support to new projects or programs.
Coordinates activities with other organization.
Reviews assets in storage to determine which items and condition codes are candidates for renovation or demilitarization program.
Determines Ammunition Peculiar Equipment (APE) needed and available, including any requirement for modification or over haul.
Analyzes ammunition workload, determining proper planning, acquisition, and support.
Performs duties such as develop and finalize detailed Standing Operating Procedures (SOP) and hazard analysis for an installation.
Participates in development and revision of site safety plans and environmental issues.
Determines safety requirements relative to each operation and ensure compliance.
Requirements
- The incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
- This position is subject to Drug Abuse Testing Program requirements.
- Must complete a variety of hazardous material classes.
- This position is subject to the Lautenberg Amendment/Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment to the Gun Control Act of 1968.

Specialized Experience: I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 level in the Federal service which includes Researching explosive limitations, safety requirements, tools, and equipment; Reviewing data packages including maintenance manuals, publications, or engineering drawings for development of detailed inspection plans or procedures; Coordinating with appropriate personnel concerning hazardous materials and waste matters; and Notifying proper authorities of hazardous materials, waste spills or accidents and the proper handling or processing of hazardous materials and/or waste.
