As Program Lead for the Audit Liaison Program with the Office of the Administrator, Office of the Executive Secretariat, Audit Liaison Program Team you will manage and ensure that all audit related activities are conducted in accordance with established policies and procedures. You will lead a team that interfaces with external audit organizations and coordinates external audit activities among and between NASA's Audit Liaison Representatives, Agency management, and technical points-of-contact.
Duties
Serve as the Program Lead for the Audit Liaison Program within the Executive Secretariat.
Manage the Agency's Government Accountability Office (GAO)/ Office of the Inspector General (OIG) project activities and ensure they are conducted in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and NASA policies.
Continuously monitor (evaluate, assess, validate, and report) the effectiveness and efficiency of the Audit Liaison Program activities and outcomes and the impact of GAO/OIG audit recommendations on NASA's reporting on internal control under A50.
Serve as technical expert providing implementation guidance, oversight and insight to NASA's Audit Liaison Representatives, external audit organization management and Agency technical points-of-contact tasked with supporting external audit efforts.
Manage, oversee, coordinate, and execute Agency responsibilities, including administrative activities, associated with the formulation, review and approval of Agency responses to external audit organization reports.
Design and conduct a wide variety of reconciliations and analyses of external audit resolution and follow-up activity. Identify and propose solutions to management problems that are of major importance to planning program direction.
Lead the team in identifying, distributing, and balancing priorities and workload among employees, arranging for team member training, and monitor and report on the status and progress of work.
Exercise a broad degree of independence and apply authoritative judgment in the management of NASA's Audit Liaison Program, including maintaining effective working relationships with senior leaders and external audit organizations.
Serve as the interface with external audit organizations by ensuring timely, accurate and relevant communication and coordination of external audit activities.

Qualifications
Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.
To qualify for GS-15, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level:
Leading Government Accountability Office (GAO) and/or Office of the Inspector General (OIG) audits or performing audit readiness activities in preparation for GAO and/or OIG audits;
Facilitating and coordinating audit resolution activities between Headquarters level organizations, field locations, Government Accountability Office and Office of Inspector General;
Developing relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to provide strategic advice and direction supporting the successful execution of Audit Liaison Program activities;
Providing advice and technical assistance to senior management on the coordination, and execution of Audit Liaison Program activities.
