You will serve as an EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY (EEO) SPECIALIST in the EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY OFFICE of USPACFLT.

Duties

You will provide case management services including pre-complaint counseling services to employees and applicants, conducting interviews with aggrieved individuals, management officials, and witnesses. You will obtain information and facts, and coordinate use of Alternate Dispute Resolution (ADR) to attempt to resolve informal complaints. You will prepare Counselor Reports to document pre-complaint counseling efforts. You will establish, maintain, and update tracking and monitoring systems for discrimination complaints. You will provide Reasonable Accommodation to qualified employees and applicants with disabilities according to applicable rules and regulations. You will serve as advisor on issues and concerns of particular constituent groups and provide guidance in trigger identification and barrier investigations.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

FOR GS-11: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector applying Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) laws, statues and Federal regulations, and applying analytical or fact finding techniques to interpret, resolve or recommend resolution for Federal EEO programs (e.g., informal or formal complaint of discrimination or disability process, Reasonable Accommodation, Alternate Dispute Resolution, Special Emphasis Program) for an organization. FOR GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector gathering information to assist with the analysis and processing of Equal Employment Opportunity complaints of discrimination (e.g., Reasonable Accommodation Requests or Alternate Dispute Resolution processing) in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

For the GS-11 Grade level:
Successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
OR
Successful completion of three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
OR

A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience

For the GS-09 Grade level:
