National Defense University (NDU) supports the joint warfighter by providing rigorous Joint Professional Military Education to members of the U.S. Armed Forces and select others in order to develop leaders who have the ability to operate and creatively think in an unpredictable and complex world.
Duties
Maintains, updates, coordinates, and deconflicts multiple event calendars and class schedules.
Capable of using software tools such as advanced word processing, database, Excel spreadsheets, graphics creation, PowerPoint and web site input.
Prepares and tracks travel orders, purchasing, and contracting forms.
Prepares a variety of Department correspondence in draft and final form as well as in automated presentation form, correcting errors in spelling, punctuation, grammar, and context.
Manages all administrative functions within the office, to include establishing and maintaining files and routine forms completion and processing. Receives all incoming correspondence, screens and distributes actions appropriately.
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or National
- Obtain and maintain Secret clearance.
Qualifications
You must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to the GS-05 grade level in the Federal service.
Specialized experience is defined as: Experience with maintaining calendars, using software tools, and administrative functions with an office.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
