You will serve as a NORTHEAST WEIGHT HANDLING EQUIPMENT PROGRAM MANAGER in the PUBLIC WORKS BUSINESS LINE of NAVFAC ENGINEERING CMD MID-ATLANTIC.

Duties

You will assign work to subordinates based on priorities, consideration of difficulty and requirements of the assignments and capabilities of the employees. You will oversee the overall planning, direction and timely delivery of numerous products and services. You will ensure the integrity and performance of the program recognizing the critical nature of safe weight handling operations. You will develop and manage, short and long-range work plans and initiatives and subsequently manage the overall work to achieve applicable goals and objectives.

  • You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
  • Procurement Integrity Certification is required in accordance with Office of Federal Procurement Policy Act 941 USC 423) as amended.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:1) Utilizing automated systems to facilitate data processing; i.e. Maximo, for tracking maintenance and operation costs; 2) Analyzing requirements and maximizing the utilization of transportation vehicles and equipment; 3) Analyzing financial and management reports dealing with site operations, and evaluating alternative corrective actions on the overall utilization of manpower and resources; 4) Planning, developing, and maintaining a capital investment plan and coordinating the disposal of excess vehicles.
