About the position: This position will be assigned to Outdoor Recreation on Holloman AFB in New Mexico. This is a Flexible position where the incumbent will work Monday - Friday, during the day, anywhere from 0-40 hours per week. Position is currently open to Internal NAF employees stationed at Holloman AFB, NM.

Duties

The primary purpose of this position is to provide support and assistance to the Outdoor Recreation Manager in the economic and efficient operation of the Outdoor Recreation (ODR) entities. The duties of this position include, but are not limited to: Assists the ODR Manager in the daily operation of the ODR Activity. Works directly with the Activity Manager to create staff schedules and weekly task lists. Responsible for the daily completion of the morning paperwork process. Ensures that front-desk staff follows the internal control procedures. Responsible for the weekly tasks of entering employee time into the time tracking software and ensuring that labor transfers are completed. Works with the Manager on the creation of quarterly budgets. In the absence of the Manager, makes front-desk decisions regarding refund policies and other POS issues. Assures patron satisfaction by resolving complaints and other customer problems. Provides instruction and guidance to all ODR team members on daily or upcoming activities and procedure changes. Works in conjunction with ODR programmer to monitor social media, respond to questions, and create informational ODR posts on the ODR Facebook and Instagram pages. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Experience which provides knowledge of outdoor recreation activities, and retail operation. Must also possess experience which provides knowledge of cash handling procedures and sales operations such as receipt, disbursement, examination, deposit and use of cash accountability control methods. Ability to provide work direction to other ODR employees and knowledge of fire, safety, and health regulations. Ability to communicate both orally and in writing. Comfortable working with social media platforms such as Facebook and Instagram
