About the position: This position will be assigned to the Outdoor Recreation Center, Air Force Academy, Colorado.

Duties
Manages all aspects of the Information, Tickets and Travel (ITT) and Outdoor Rec Center (ORC) cashier operations.
Supervises Travel Clerks and Cashier-Checkers in the day-to-day operations.
Assists in the daily operation as needed. Instructs and trains all assigned employees in their duties.
Distributes and balances workload among employees.
Observes work in progress, production, and adherence to quality and safety standards.
Elevates unresolved employee complaints to supervisor.
Serves as the primary POC to contracted vendors.
Maintains and monitors current BPA contracts with vendors to include up-to-date information on prices, current cancellation policies and compliance with general policies.
Establishes policies and procedures to manage data collection, tracking, analyzing progress and financial management.
Works with marketing to establish procedures to facilitate patrons to the contracted resort via an extensive promotional and marketing plan and produces and collects customer surveys.
Serves as QAE/POC Liaison with the preferred provider (Keystone) for RMB individual, group and conference requests.
Establishes, develops and maintains effective working relationships with established vendors, military representatives, retiree organizations, business leaders and travel/ski industry managers.
Assists in developing policies, plans and procedures, budgets, administrative policies, operation plans, quality assurance guidelines, and marketing plans associated with all aspects of USAFA's ITT program.
Responsible for ordering the tickets for ITT. Reconciles tickets on a monthly basis.
Conducts daily inventories on all tickets. Analyzes sales figures and forecasts future sales to maximize profits.
At the beginning of each day, clears the register and makes cash deposits.
Posts ORC financial information for all related programs and activities on a daily basis.
Accounts for cash on a daily basis.
Performs a variety of routine and repetitive accounting duties which could include, but not limited to; reviewing, computing, and verifying cashier reports, pricing, and receiving reports; establishing and maintaining logs of controlled forms and coupons; verifying bank deposits; posting daily transactions to a worksheet, tracking every cost center and GLAC for the activity, creating and maintaining worksheets to track all unearned income; prepares reports monthly, quarterly, and annually which reflect the financial condition of the activity.
Balances, researches and corrects variances between SAIS, NAFDIS and spreadsheets prior to end of month closing. Verifies vendor invoices against receiving reports and receives in IBPS.
Responsible for all aspects of maintaining and reporting payroll for ORC facilities.
Establishes and maintains individual pay records, creates individual time/pay records for each pay period.
Responsible for accuracy, disbursement and replenishing monthly petty cash fund.
Uses word processing software to produce a variety of documents.
Types correspondence, reports, forms, messages, and memoranda, statistical or tabular material.
Performs a variety of general office duties such as receiving telephone calls and visitors, routing and filing correspondence, and maintaining files.
Maintains area in a clean and orderly manner.
Checks, counts and receives retail items for ORC, CRC and FAM.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifying Experience:
Experience in leading and supervising people is required.
Must have progressively responsible experience in clerical or office work, which has provided a comprehensive knowledge of office automation software such as MS Office or similar software.
This should include demonstrated ability to perform common arithmetical problems, to apply basic accounting procedures and techniques, possession of a high degree of typing proficiency, and knowledge of word processing techniques.
Must have experience in double entry accounting procedures and techniques and the ability to analyze the interrelationship of accounts that are affected by varied transactions.
Must have strong organizational skills and the ability to create and maintain files.
Must have a basic knowledge of record keeping and perform financial duties stated in the position.
Point of sales and computer experience is required.
Must be able to communicate effectively with the public.
Must be able to work independently.
Must lift up to 40lbs.
National Agency Check with Inquires (NACI) are required.
Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.
FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.
