This position is for the Program Support Assistant for the Connected Care Service located under the Deputy Chief of Staff (DCOS) and reports to the Connected Care/Telehealth supervisor. The primary purpose of the position is to provide specialized administrative, technical, and clerical work to ensure operational efficiency within the Connected Care Service.
Duties
As a Program Support Assistant (OA), you will:
Review/collect data and prepares reports/presentations/take meeting minutes/ uses Leaf system in support Telehealth Programs.
Use applications in the Telehealth vendor systems, VSSC and VA systems for the purpose of processing Home Telehealth (HT) enrollments and dis-enrollments.
Prepare and mail out patient enrollment packets, makes calls to non-responders, follow VAPIHCS Consult guidance, teaches Veterans about Telehealth modalities/technologies , VVC test connections and does trouble shooting with Veterans /staff
Responsible for the administrative functions of the Connected Care Service and assists the FTC and Service Chief with duties as assigned.
Creates and manages forms, charts, and posters, often complex, utilizing Power Point, Excel, VISIO, and Microsoft Word. Designs detailed charts and graphs as assigned.
Schedule care coordination and notifies patient utilizing and maintaining access to CPRS, VistA, Telehealth vendors.
Coordinate and liaise with healthcare providers by building and nurturing strong relationship both internal and external to achieve department mission and goals.
Resolve simple, informal complaints and refers others, such as formal grievances and appeals to supervisor.
Generates required reports for the Connected Care Service FTC and service Chief.
Assists with inquiries or suspense's from the front office or from the VISN requiring information from the Connected Care Service and returning those suspense's and queries in a timely manner back to the front office or VISN requestor based on VHA/VISN rules and regulations.
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 0730-1600
Telework: VA supports the use of telework as a way to help attract and retain talented individuals in public service, increase worker productivity, and better prepare the agency to operate during emergencies. This position may be authorized for telework. Telework eligibility will be discussed during the interview process.

Qualifications
To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 11/30/2023.
Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-07 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-06. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. In this instance, you must provide an additional SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one-year time-in-grade. Note: Time-In-Grade requirements also apply to former Federal employees applying for reinstatement as well as current employees applying for Veterans Employment Opportunities Act of 1998 (VEOA) appointment.
Typing Proficiency: You must be able to type at least 40 words per minute.
In addition to the Typing Proficiency, you must posses Specialized Experience as described below:
Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-06 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to: Serve as primary contact for various administrative functions (e.g., human resources, budget and finance, program analysis, records and document control, timekeeping, etc.); Receive incoming calls and route to appropriate party; Coordinate and manage reoccurring meeting, including taking minutes and transcribing; Submission of purchase requests for supplies, equipment, etc.; Proficient in various automated applications (ADPAC, Microsoft applications, VistA, CPRS, ADP security, etc.) to produce reports, pamphlets, etc.; and Apply specialized processes, methods, policies, and procedures related to an office that provides a specific service to be performed as non-routine and/or routine as assigned.

Note: A full year of work is considered to be 35-40 hours of work per week. Part-time experience will be credited on the basis of time actually spent in appropriate activities. Physical Requirements: The work is performed in an office setting. The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts which require normal safety precautions typical of such places as offices, meeting, and training rooms. You are to conduct daily activities in a safe manner
