The primary purpose of this position is to install, maintain, test, troubleshoot, upgrade, repair, and calibrate a variety of utility systems that require fully developed or journey level skills in various utility related trades such as electrical equipment repair, plumbing, wastewater treatment operation, water treatment operation, and air conditioning equipment operation. Note: This position is limited to those in the local commuting area.

Duties

Complete surface water treatment filtration processes to lake or river water that involve non-filtration as well as additional filtration processes Perform microbiological tests such as inoculation and incubation of outgoing water samples to verify the elimination of treated microorganisms. Make regularly scheduled checks to water meters, gauges, motors, pumps, feeders, and other complicated recording and control devices. Ensure water quality is in compliance with all Federal, state, and/or local regulations, as well as Departmental and Bureau level policy. Install, modify, and repair new and existing utility, supply, and disposal systems and equipment such as sewage and water.
