The incumbent serves as a Support Services Specialist in the Support Services Division. In this capacity, the incumbent serves as a point of contact for internal and external customers on operational matters, and exercises program responsibility.

Duties

Specific duties are as follows: Provides input for efficient utilization of space to include floor plans and design, ensuring proper cubicle design and required infrastructure. Provides property management services including facilities, trouble calls, conducting inventories, and disposing of excess property. Responsible for the day-to-day functions of the fleet management program by documenting authorized operators, scheduling utilization and maintenance and submitting required reports. Responsible for the administration of the Personal Identify Verification (PIV) system, ensures proper issuance of PIV cards and manages administration roles. Acts as the PIV liaison as required. Provide forms and publication services which consists of printing, reproduction and distribution of forms. Ensures equipment requirements are met for all forms and publications activities. Provides input in the coordinating of building security with appropriate authorities. Provides input into the preparation of all reports associated with security. Provides input in the planning and recommendations for procedural improvements in all administrative functional areas. Coordinates with acquisition personnel in acquiring office supplies and equipment, then stores and distributes office supplies and equipment. Work Schedule: Full time, Monday through Friday TELEWORK ELIGIBLE: Yes per Agency guidelines. Compressed/Flexible: Yes per Agency guidelines. This is not a remote position. Qualifications

To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 11/27/2023. Time-in-Grade Requirements: Under competitive merit promotion procedures, any individual who is currently holding, or who has held within the previous 52 weeks, a General Schedule position under a non-temporary appointment in the competitive or excepted service, must meet "time-in-grade" requirements (have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade of the grade for which you are applying). Time-In-Grade requirements also apply to current employees applying for a Veterans Employment Opportunities Act of 1998 (VEOA) appointment. NOTE: All current or former Federal employees must provide a copy of their SF-50 (you may need to submit more than one), "Notice of Personnel Action" that indicates proof of status and time-in-grade eligibility. The SF-50 must include your position, title, series, grade, step, tenure (1 or 2), and type of service (Competitive or Excepted). Applicants must demonstrate that they meet the Minimum Qualification requirements as noted below. Specialized Experience: For this Support Services Specialist, GS-0342-07 position. You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-05 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include but are not limited to gathering data for information; applying knowledge of standardized processes and procedures to complete assignments, identifying problems from collected data; selecting solutions from alternatives in guidelines and precedent cases. OR Education: Applicants may substitute education for the required experience. To qualify based on education for this grade level you must have successfully completed 1 full year of graduate level education directly related to the position. (You must provide transcripts). OR, Combination: Applicants may qualify using a combination of specialized experience as stated in this announcement and graduate level education in an appropriate discipline that, when combined, equal 100% of the total requirement. (This will be calculated using your resume and unofficial transcripts or a list of courses/course hours submitted with your application.) Specialized Experience: For this Support Services Specialist, GS-0342-09 position. You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-07 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include but are not limited to assisting with the facility, equipment, and/or service operation design projects; assisting with analyzing and assessing the efficiency and effectiveness of various administrative programs, functions, or systems; and giving oral and written presentations as needed. OR Education: Applicants may substitute education for the required experience. To qualify based on education for this grade level you must have successfully completed Two (2) full years of graduate level education or a masters or equivalent degree in a major study - public administration, business, administration, industrial engineering, industrial management, or other administrative or management fields related to the position to be filled. (You must provide transcripts). OR, Combination: Applicants may qualify using a combination of specialized experience as stated in this announcement and graduate level education in an appropriate discipline that, when combined, equal 100% of the total requirement. (This will be calculated using your resume and unofficial transcripts or a list of courses/course hours submitted with your application.) You will be rated on the following Competencies for this position: Customer Service, Critical Thinking, Communication, Technical Competence, and Teamwork. NOTE: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. For work in the federal service, include the grade level for the position(s). Note: A full year of work is considered to be 35-40 hours of work per week. Part-time experience will be credited on the basis of time actually spent in appropriate activities.
