Duties
Serves as the Director, Accounts Payable Analytical and Reporting Division, leading the Accounts Payable Audit and Reporting and Analysis branches.
Provides leadership to subordinate supervisors and employees engaged in accomplishing the Accounts Payable mission.
Plans, organizes, guides, coordinates, and reviews the work of Accounts Payable organizational elements involved in carrying out the mission and functions of the organization.
Reviews, analyzes and evaluates the status of performance measures and key indicators for assessing the efficiency and effectiveness of Accounts Payable Operations.
Ensures that internal controls are developed, maintained and evaluated in accordance with DoD, DFAS, and other Federal statutes and regulations.
Provides program development and oversight responsibilities for the Site Accounts Payable Program, which directly supports commercial pay requirements for DON customers.

Qualifications
One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade (GS-12) within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required.
Specialized experience is defined as: performing in-depth analysis and evaluation of financial operations, policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure the overall effectiveness and efficiency of finance and accounting operations; recommending process improvements to financial operations; and providing high-level financial operations expertise to senior leadership to help them carry out financial missions with allocated resources.
Time-in-Grade: Current or former federal employees who have held a GS position in the preceding 52 weeks, must meet the time in grade requirement. Applicant must have served 52 weeks as a GS-12 or higher grade in Federal Service.
