You will serve as an Operations Research Analyst in the SE & ALRE Branch ofNAVAIRWARCENADLKE.
Duties
You will determine methods for data collection to analyze operations or processes.
You will use research or analytical problem solving methods to identify interrelated program issues, draw conclusions, and recommend apt solutions.
You will extract data from manpower and management information system (IT) databases for statistical analysis.

Qualifications
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector as a professional Operations Research Analyst: 1) Leading/coordinating the effort to develop and deliver complex, life cycle cost (all phases- Development, Production, Operations and Support) estimating/analysis products as they relate to ALRE / EAF and CSE (Common Support Equipment) programs; 2) Participating as a member of the program/project's team thus compiling /verifying Technical and Programmatic Baseline (T&PB) inputs thru direct interviews, research/ retrieve historic acquisition data, adjust for complexity;3) Developing variable-driven economic models which represents a confluence of technical, programmatic, contractual requirements, acquisition data analytics, and financial analysis e.g. production learning, logistics provisioning, cost risk techniques.4) Authoring briefs in accordance with Branch policies, and then leading the presentation to defend and justify estimates to internal and external stakeholders (Branch Mgmt, Program stakeholders, Lakehurst Mgmt., Cost and Schedule Analysis Department HQ, PMA, DPEO, PEO sponsor, and other high level sponsors) to effectively resolve obstacles with the customer, and gain consensus with other stakeholders holding differing viewpoints or goals;5) Providing mentoring/technical guidance to less experienced analysts and/or explain work experiences/ product knowledge during transitioning of workload to other analysts. Share lessons-learned experiences with other branch members;6) Developing tools or processes that will enhance the department capabilities. Identify new techniques and provide lessons learned to improve efficiency in the department. Significantly support/ contribute cost data to the Branch's Acquisition Cost database (ACD).

Education
Applicants must meet the following positive education qualifications requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Applicants must possess a degree in operations research; or at least 24 semester hours in a combination of operations research, mathematics, probability, statistics, mathematical logic, science, or subject-matter courses requiring substantial competence in college-level mathematics or statistics. At least 3 of the 24 semester hours must have been in calculus.
