Duties
Performs maintenance on exercise equipment located throughout installation facilities.
Maintains, adjusts and repairs a variety of weight lifting, free weight and other equipment (treadmills stair climbers, aerobic bicycles, rowing machines, etc.) having mechanical, electrical and electronic parts, components and assemblies.
Performs operational checks, visually checks for worn or damaged parts, traces wiring, disassembles, makes necessary adjustments, repairs or replaces defective parts, cleans, lubricates and reassembles equipment.
Drives small truck in traveling to work sites and hauling equipment, materials, repair parts and supplies. Loads and unloads vehicle.
Prepares and submits to supervisor yearly budgetary requirements for repair/replacement parts. Submits to supervisor requests for purchase of parts. Operates and maintains supply warehouse for storage of excess repair parts.
Requirements

Qualifications
Demonstrated work experience that furnish the knowledge, skills and abilities needed to perform the duties of this position consistent with accepted practices of the trade as indicated above. Ability to use and maintain appropriate tools and equipment. Ability to read, understand and apply instruction and other materials related to the job. Work experience must include repair work in the type of equipment mentioned above to include the knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions of the profession. Motor vehicle operation requires a valid driver's license.
