About the Position: This position is located at Fort Novosel, Alabama. This position is a part of the Defense Health Agency.
Duties
Assist patients by contacting medical services offices on his/her behalf and handle special situation for which no mechanism has been established.
Safeguard the ethical, statutory, and constitutional rights of patients.
Respond to inquiries from the Inspector General’s Office.
Assist in gathering information on Congressional or Inspector General Inquiries.
Operate a computer with word processing and other software to prepare a variety of materials.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
One year of specialized experience in the Federal service which includes: 1) operating a computer with word processing and other software to prepare a variety of materials; 2) responding to inquiries from institutions such as the Inspector General's Office; AND 3) assisting patrons with seeking solutions to problems, concerns or unmet needs. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-6).
