Duties
You will brief superiors on guidance regarding development, execution, and closure of Foreign Military Sales (FMS) within the International Programs Office..
You will serve as an authoritative source of information to the organization at converences and meetings.
You will aid in the lifecycle support of Foreign Military Sales (FMS) cases (e.g., development, reconciliation and closing) using automated systems (e.g., Defense Security Assistance Management System [DSAMS]).
You will develop detailed plans, goals and objectives for short and long-range implementation of FMS cases.
Requirements

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final Secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to obtain a Security Assistance Workforce Development Level: BASIC P and I within prescribed timelines.
Qualifications
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-11) grade level or (NH-02) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Evaluating the effectiveness and efficiency of Foreign Military Sales (FMS) programs, developing objectives for short and long-range implementation of FMS cases, AND providing subject matter expertise regarding the development, execution and closure of FMS cases.

Education
Applicants must meet the following positive education qualifications requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Applicants must possess.
Applicants must possess a degree with a major or equivalent, or a combination of courses totaling at least 24 semester hours, in international law and international relations, political science, economics, history, sociology, geography, social or cultural anthropology, law, statistics, or in the humanities; or 12 semester hours in one of the above disciplines and 12 semester hours in statistics/quantitative methods;
OR
Possess a combination of education and experience: courses equivalent to a major, or a combination of related course totaling at least 24 semester hours, as shown above, plus appropriate experience or additional education;
OR
Have four years of appropriate experience in one or more of the fields listed above in work associated with international organizations, problems, or other aspects of foreign affairs.
