You will serve as a PRODUCTION CONTROLLER in the PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT of NAVAL FACILITIES ENGINEERING COMMAND SE..

Duties

You will coordinate detailed work plans and schedules for the production of assigned workload. You will analyze current production project methods for safety, quality, schedule, and cost performance. You will use Microsoft Office products (e.g., Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook, Visio) to develop reports and present to management. You will discuss production specifications (e.g., work definition, pricing, regulatory compliance, contract negotiation) with customers.

Requirements

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.

Qualifications

Outside applicants claiming VEOA, Interchange or PPP Military Spouse Preference (i.e., those without current or prior Federal competitive or excepted service) must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-08) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing the following duties: 1) The purpose of this position is primarily responsible for planning, scheduling, fund tracking, and resource leveling to support a variety of facilities construction, maintenance and repair work orders and projects. Monitors all job order numbers and project packages to ensure they are correct and funded properly; 2) Incumbent must have the skill and experience in the use of business applications systems used in a production control environment such as MAXIMO, Microsoft Office, E-Projects, Work Manager and Data Base systems for data entry and queries; 3 Incumbent must be able to work under pressure of short fused requirements and adapt to changes of program requirements.; and 4) Incumbent shall have a good working knowledge of maintenance, repair, and construction techniques; the ability to read and understand contract plans, specifications, and drawings. Have considerable skill and experience to plan and schedule the production cycle for construction, repair, and renovation projects performed by in house workforce or contractor personnel.
