About the Position: This position is located at the 43rd AG Battalion at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri.
This position may be selected at any grade level with non-competitive promotion potential to target grade. Non-competitive promotion potential to the target grade based on time-in-grade requirements and demonstrated ability to perform the higher graded duties.
Duties
Update individual's Record of Emergency Data Card (DD Form 93), Service-member Group Life Insurance (SGLI), assignments, training, and
affiliated documents.
Make detailed regulatory and procedural review, audit, and update of required documents and records to assure accuracy and completeness of all
information recorded.
Prepare Electronic Military Personnel Office (eMILPO) transactions for records assigned. Uses Reception Module(RECMOD) to update and assess
Soldiers into the Army.
Provide authoritative recommendations in the application and interpretation of regulations in assigned functional area as well as reviewing all existing
regulations.
Conduct quality assurance of personnel records and files, insuring they are maintained according to established procedures and regulations.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- The employee may be required to work overtime to include weekends and federal holidays, out of cycle, or on an emergency basis.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or requirements described below. For GS-05:
Specialized Experience: General experience is progressively responsible clerical, office, or other work that indicates ability to acquire the particular knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of the position to be filled, such as: office work pertaining to the initiation, review, and verification of personnel data for enlisted personnel entering the service; and utilizing automation/computer equipment to correct errors and maintaining required military records. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-04).
OR
Education: Four years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts).
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. (To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of education beyond two years (total semester hours minus 60) by 60. Add the two percentages The total percentage must equal at least 100 percent to qualify.). (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)
Time in Grade Requirement: Candidates may be advanced without time restriction to positions up to GS-5 if the position to be filled is no more than two grades above the lowest grade the employee held within the preceding 52 weeks under his or her latest non-temporary competitive appointment.
For GS-06
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: General experience is progressively responsible clerical, office, or other work that indicates ability to acquire the particular knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of the position to be filled, such as: performing progressively responsible clerical or office work pertaining to the initiation, review, and verification of personnel data for enlisted personnel entering the service; and utilizing automation/computer equipment to correct errors and maintaining required military records.

Education: A half year (i.e., 9 semester hours) of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts).
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 9. Add the two percentages. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts).
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-05). All applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade and specialized experience requirements within thirty (30) days after the closing date of the announcement.
Proficiency Required: This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors.
