You will serve as a Production Controller in the MRO Logistics Division of FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHWEST.
This announcement uses the Certain Personnel of the DoD direct hire authority to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
Duties
You will be responsible for executing the daily detailed work order releases or dispatch list requirements for the cognizant work centers.
You will coordinate work order and dispatch list execution with other Production Controllers.
You will introduce, via the appropriate contacts, emergent requirements (i.e., Discrepancy Work Order (DWO), Quality Deficiency Report (QDR), etc.) that fall within allowable time buckets.
You will verify all workload within cognizant work center for completeness of paperwork prior to routing.
Requirements

Qualifications
FOR GS-07:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-05) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1) Broad knowledge and understanding of aircraft engines/systems, components, material processes and assembly operations utilized by production shops; 2) Initiating action to identify proper work center information whenever corrective action is required; 3) Utilizing production planning and inventory control procedures to support production shop activities; and 4) Verifying/coordinating work orders & workload paperwork, in addition to processing work order requests.
FOR GS-05:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-04) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1) Applying knowledge of aircraft engines/systems, components, and material processes and/or assembly operations; 2) Utilizing production planning and/or inventory control procedures to support production shop activities; and 3) Coordinating work orders & workload paperwork.

Education
For the GS-05 level, the following education may be substituted in lieu of experience:
4 years above high school
Successfully completed education above the high school level in any field for which high school graduation or the equivalent is the normal prerequisite is creditable at grades GS-3 through GS-5 for all positions except Reporting Stenographer, GS-5. This education must have been obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. One year of full-time academic study is defined as 30 semester hours, 45 quarter hours, or the equivalent in a college or university, or at least 20 hours of classroom instruction per week for approximately 36 weeks in a business, secretarial, or technical school.
