About the Position: US Army Medical Materiel Development Activity (USAMMDA) is the DoD's advanced medical materiel development activity for products designed to protect and preserve the lives of Service members.

Duties

Serve as the Accountable Officer of U.S. Army Medical Material Development Activity (USAMMDA) equipment inbound and outbound within the Medical Maintenance Operations Division's (MMOD) warehouse. Provide monthly inventory status and complete causative research for causal determination. Determine the cause of accountability discrepancies. Recommending new inventory processes and implementing the associated changes. Responsible for accounting and managing medical equipment in Theater Enterprise-Wide Logistics System, Global Combat Support System – Army, and Logistics Modernization Program. Investigate and correct discrepancies in support of Medical Field Systems Project Management Office. Serve as the Primary Hand Receipt Holder for the Medical Maintenance Operations Divisions.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
  • Incumbent may be required to complete a two year probationary period.
  • Business travel may be required up to 10% of the time.
  • This position requires the ability to lift up to 50lbs.
  • The incumbent will be required to complete a pre-employment and annual physical.

The DJ-03 pay band is equivalent to the GS-11, Step 01 through GS-12, Step 10. In keeping with the Demonstration pay fixing policies, employees earning a salary that falls within this pay band, may not receive an immediate pay increase (promotion) if appointed to this position. Future pay increases within the pay band will be accomplished through the pay for performance management system. In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Additional information about transcripts is in this document. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes (1) Distributing supplies among various storage sites; (2) Utilizing automated systems to track movement of stock; and (3) Conducting inventory inspections. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (DJ-02 / GS-09). OR Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M. in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
