About the position: This position will be assigned to Outdoor Recreation at Mountain Home AFB, ID. This is a Regular Part-time position with 20 guaranteed work hours, but may work up to 40 hours per week. This position has available benefits, to include NAF Retirement, 401K, life, flexible spending account (FSA), health and dental insurance.

Duties

The purpose of this position is to perform a variety of duties in support of the Information, Tickets and Travel Office. Operates cash registers and computerized point of sale system and reservation software program: accepting cash, and credit cards for merchandise and services. Responsible for change fund, cashier ticket inventory and daily receipts. Balances cash reports and prepare bank deposits. Accepts reservations for shows and tickets registration and money for tours. Stocks brochure racks and keeps storage room organized. Answers customer inquiries (telephones and in person). Required to establish a working relationship with local establishments, Hotel chains as well as AFS agency for coordination. Gives written and verbal information to customers. Assists with verifying weekly and monthly inventories. Creates and updates vouchers. Receives tickets on computerized purchasing systems. Performs a variety of general administrative duties to include prepare, route and file correspondence. Works on computer on daily basis. Assists in various activities and events sponsored by the Community Support Flight. Performs the following: Drives one or more types of motor vehicles to include passenger vehicles, passenger vans, and pickup trucks on the basis of specific assignments and schedules. Reads maps and judge's road, traffic, water, snow and weather conditions to determine the safest and fastest route. Performs other duties assigned. Requirements

  • This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results.
  • This position requires a valid state driver's license and a clear driving record.
  • This position is a drug testing designed position. The incumbent is subject to random testing for drug use.
  • Subject to an irregular tour of duty, to include evenings, weekends and holidays.

Qualifying Experience: General office skills to include typing and filing is required. Must have knowledge of cash register, cash handling procedures, bank deposits and simple cashier reports. Knowledge of computers is required. Knowledge of the surrounding area and Government Travel desired. Prior customer service experience is required.
