This position is located in the Washington, DC Commuting Area in the Bureau for Planning, Learning and Resource Management, located at the Ronald Reagan Building, 1300 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW, Washington, DC at the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID).

Duties

Serve as the Team Lead for Multilateral Affairs, Office of Development Cooperation, Bureau for Planning, Learning and Resource Management, supervising and providing appropriate administrative and technical direction for the team. Plan and assign work, advises on program goals and objectives, makes decisions on work problems, and organizes and monitors the flow of work for the assigned programs in order to achieve the most effective results within a complex environment. Serve as an advisor to PLR and Agency leadership on issues related to all aspects of multilateral development, including diplomacy, finance, policy, partnerships, and performance. Interact with interagency stakeholders and external partners, and represents Agency and U.S. Government equities in international meetings.

Qualifications

Specialized Experience: Specialized Experience GS-15; You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. Examples of qualifying specialized experience at the next lower level for this position includes: (a) managing significant elements or phases of projects related to major organizational functions, performance, programs, or operations; (c) providing authoritative guidance in the resolution of complex problems or issues impacting the organization's workforce. (d) managing and leading teams that must work with other teams to be effective, especially in larger organizations or across a diverse set of organizations (e) promoting or supporting organizational agility and adaptation to changing circumstances or environments. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience relevant to the position's duties to be filled, including volunteer experience. CTAP/ICTAP candidates will be referred to the selecting official if they are found well qualified. Well-qualified means an eligible applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities that clearly exceed the position's minimum requirements.
