Duties

Makes repairs by removing, cleaning, replacing and sealing defective parts of lawn irrigation systems. Repairs/replaces sprinkler heads, piping, valves, couplings and other associated parts to include automatic control timers. Measures, cuts and threads pipe, bending sections to desired curvature and assembling for installation. Caulks, glues and seals such things as elbows, union joints and plastic and metal piping, to include tapping into pipes up to 8 inches. Digs holes and/or trenches to expose broken pipes for repair/replacement. Maintains adequate supply of repair parts. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
• Must lift and carry supplies and equipment weighting up to 50lbs.
• Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
• Satisfactory completion of pre-employment background checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2.
• Incumbent may also be required to complete a Tier 1 background investigation for a Common Access Card for physical access to federally controlled facilities.
