About the Position: This position is the Regional Asset Manager for the Mississippi Valley Division, Operations Division, providing asset management technical oversight of districts in support of Operations and Maintenance functional area.
Please Note: The duty location of the position will be determined at the time of selection and can be at any of the 6 Districts within MVD.
Duties
Assists in the development of a nationally integrated framework for Corps asset management.
Integrates existing programs and identifies new ones to ensure successful development and execution for asset management.
Develops annual budgetary requirements for asset management.
Develops a sustainable infrastructure plan based on risk based life cycle cost strategies.
Establishes and maintains an accurate and complete inventory of assets.
Coordinates with staff to ensure that information technology systems designed and implemented for Asset Management.
Responds to various inquiries and requirements for information regarding real property asset inventory.
Communicates plan with senior leadership across functional areas and business lines.
Drafts modifications to existing or develops new policies and guidelines as needed.
Requirements

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes; Developing short and long term infrastructure plans; Assisting in the development of a nationally integrated framework for asset management; Integrating new and existing programs to ensure quality asset management for an organization and Utilizing various applications and /or databases, such as with Facility Equipment Maintenance (FEM) Database, Operational Condition Assessment (OCA) Program, and/or Maintenance Management Improvement Plan (MMIP). This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).
