Duties

Assisting in conducting complex studies, conducting routine surveys, analyzing findings Preparing data for inclusion in reports, and writing reports Identify and evaluate potential health hazards Advise on control measure and modifications in work procedures.

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.

• Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes conducting surveys/assessing work practices and/or environmental conditions to identify health and safety hazards; analyzing toxic materials from environmental samples; and/or conducting training for employees on safe work practices. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-08).
