About the Position: This position is located in the Naval Hospital Branch Medical Clinic, Naval Air Technical Training Center (NATTC), Naval Air Station, Pensacola, Florida. The purpose of the position is to provide management, and technical support to the Outpatient Health Records Office. Hours-M-F, 0700 to 1530.

Duties
Advise, manage, administer provide technical guidance perform work in connection with the development, maintenance, analysis, verification and custody of all outpatient Health Records for military personnel assigned to the NATTC.
Advise management technical guidance of staff members, providing consultation services on medical record problems or procedures and staff members on methods of recording or retrieving record data.
Teaching or training of staff members in medical records programs.
Maintaining a close working relationship with medical and administrative staff.
Responsible for medical record matters involving medical legal problems.
Requirements

One year of specialized experience which includes assisting in customer service; knowledge of medical terminology and medical records procedures; checking out and retiring health records and/or managing out-patient health records. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).
