You will serve as a Records and Information Management Specialist in the Corporate Business Office Division of Naval Surface Warfare Center, Philadelphia Division (NSWC PHILA DIV).

Duties

You will plan and schedule major projects regarding records and information management programs/organizational effectiveness and involving complex features of program implementation. You will identify and analyze issues and develop recommendations to resolve problems of effectiveness and efficiency of work operations in the record management programs. You will review, analyze and develop methods to improve the information and systems for disseminating information about the records and information management programs. You will develop and interpret policies, and procedures governing the planning and delivery of services throughout the Division; providing expert technical advice on critical support issues. You will provide program/project management that include: developing plans and schedules, estimating resource requirements, defining milestones and deliverables, monitoring activities, evaluating, and reporting on the work. You will formulate a vision for future applications or services to meet organization's missions.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing oversight (e.g., planning, scheduling, carrying out projects) of a records management and program implementation; controlling and organizing a filing and retrieving system (e.g., conducting reviews of record systems) to maintain organizational effectiveness.
