About the Position: The Alaska District is seeking to fill a Senior Contract Specialist position located in the Contract Division. An ideal candidate will have strong experience in pre-award contracting. Possess an in-depth knowledge of Best Value Source Selection to include excellent written, communication and interpersonal skills, be able to think critically and be detail-oriented, and have a working knowledge of AE and IDC contracting.

Duties

Serves as a senior Contract Specialist and warranted contracting/grants officer. Reviews requests for the procurement of complex equipment, services, and/or construction. Advises program officials of the procurement objectives to be used, and analyzes the requirement, recommends revisions to the statement of work or specifications as necessary, and determines the type of contract, milestones, and procurement plan. Performs contract administration on complex construction and service contracts requiring in depth knowledge of contract administration procedures. Interprets contract provisions for contractors and for officials of the agency and provides appropriate advice and guidance. Serves as the technical expert in price/cost analysis.
