You will serve as a Administrative Support Technician in the Manpower Department (N1) or Command Services Department (N01) at Reserve Component Commands (RCC) Mid-Atlantic Great Lakes or it's various Navy Operational Support Centers (NOSC) of NOSC, PITTSBURGH, PA.
Duties
You will manage a wide variety of administrative and management duties.
You will provide advice and assistance on use of local filing systems including storage and retrieval of correspondence and documentation.
You will prepare Navy Correspondence to include gathering information, assembling support documentation, typing and use of word processing, correcting grammar, spelling, proof reading, routing through chain until completion.
You will be responsible for maintenance of security records, establishment and destruction of records, access documentation, and maintenance of serial numbers for restricted area badges for work center personnel.
You will maintain appointment book and calendar to include posting appointment record, coordinating appointment time with supervisor and reminder of pending appointments.
You will process unclassified and outgoing communication. Stamp, mark, seal, package, type address label and affix to parcel and route unclassified outgoing communication.
You will receive and forward all personal and unit awards to appropriate authority in a timely manner.
You will prepare and maintain security records, files and databases to include Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS) and the Defense Information System for Security (DISS).
Requirements

- This position is eligible for part time, substantial or ad-hoc telework at the discretion of management.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position requires the ability to type at least 40 words per minute. Your response to the typing skill question on the Occupational Questionnaire will be used in your qualification determination.
- This position requires evening and weekend work.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1. Experience entering information into various computer system programs and extracting reports.
2. Experience managing a wide variety of administrative and management duties.
3. Experience preparing correspondence to include gathering information, assembling supporting documentation, typing and use of word
processing, correcting grammar, spelling, and proofreading.
4. Experience maintaining appointment book and calendar to include posting appointment record, coordinating appointment time with supervisor and reminder of pending appointment.
